Jammu: In an administrative reshuffle, the Deputy Commissioner of Ganderbal has ordered the transfer and posting of nine revenue officials with immediate effect to ensure the smooth functioning of government work.
As per Order No. 65/DCG of 2025, issued on January 29, 2025, Shahid Iqbal, Naib-Tehsildar, who was serving as Reader in the DC Office Ganderbal, has been transferred and posted as Naib-Tehsildar Ganderbal, replacing Syed Farhat Qadri. Meanwhile, Qadri has been reassigned as Reader in the DC Office Ganderbal, with his salary to be drawn against the post of Tehsildar Headquarters.
Parvaiz Ahmad Hajam, a Senior Assistant from the DC Office Ganderbal, has been deployed to the Tehsil Office Ganderbal until further orders. Mehraj U Din Sofi, who was serving as Patwari Sonamarg, has been transferred to PH Warphoo, with his salary to be drawn from Tehsil Office Lar. In a corresponding move, Khursheed Ahmad Bhat, previously PH Thune, has been posted as PH Sonamarg, while Arif Basheer, who was stationed at PH Warphoo, has now been assigned to PH Thune.
Bilal Ahmad Tantray, a Junior Assistant from Tehsil Office Ganderbal, has been transferred to the DC Office Ganderbal in the Yatra Section against an available vacancy. Ghulam Nabi Dar, a Junior Assistant from Tehsil Lar, has been posted in Tehsil Office Ganderbal, replacing Bilal Ahmad Tantray. Nazir Ahmad Rather, a Junior Assistant from Tehsil Wakura, has been transferred to Tehsil Office Kangan against an available vacancy.
The transferred officials have been deemed relieved from their current positions and directed to assume their new roles immediately. The order has been issued in the interest of efficient administrative functioning in the district. A copy of the order has been forwarded to the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, and Sub-Divisional Magistrate Kangan for their information.
