JAMMU, June3: Peoples Conference president Sajad Gani Lone criticised Chief Minister Omar Abdullah over holding a government review meeting at Dachigam National Park in Srinagar, calling the decision unusual and questioning the choice of venue.
In a post on X, he remarked that the Chief Minister appeared “tourist to the core” and said the secluded setting reflected what he described as an “aloof and isolated” administration.
Lone also made sarcastic comments suggesting MLAs were taken to the wildlife area and would be told to “fall in line” or face consequences, as per his post.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, accompanied by his cabinet colleagues and National Conference MLAs, is holding a day-long review and strategy session at Dachigam National Park. While the meeting is underway, the government has yet to disclose details of the agenda or the outcomes expected from the exercise.
The unusual venue and Lone’s criticism have added a political edge to what was intended to be an internal government review, turning the Dachigam meeting into the latest flashpoint in Kashmir’s political landscape.
