APRIL 9: Since the J&K Legislative Assembly witnessed uproar over the discussion on Waqf Bill, the House was adjourned for three hours on Wednesday.
It is learnt that this is the third consecutive day of House adjournment owing to refusal of business to hold deliberation on the Waqf Amendment Bill.
At the time when House met on Wednesday, scores of National Conference MLAs and allied partners approached to the well of the House for discussion. Contemplating this, BJP MLAs staged a sit-in the House.
Pertinent to mention, the Assembly witnessed adjournments for two consecutive days over Speakers decision to dismiss the adjournment of motion pertaining to Waqf Amendment Bill.
