Jammu: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday said that Jammu and Kashmir’s development journey is firmly anchored in national unity, built on the foundation strengthened by Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee’s historic struggle.
Speaking at an event marking West Bengal Foundation Day at Lok Bhavan in Srinagar, the LG said that the Union Territory is witnessing a new phase of growth, peace, and prosperity driven by a renewed spirit of integration and development.
He paid rich tributes to Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee, describing him as a symbol of “indomitable courage, patriotism and unwavering dedication to the motherland.” The LG said Mookerjee’s legacy continues to inspire India’s journey of unity and nation-building.
Reiterating the importance of national integration, the Lieutenant Governor said that Jammu and Kashmir is steadily moving forward on the path of development while strengthening emotional and cultural bonds with different regions of the country. He also encouraged the youth to draw inspiration from national icons and contribute towards building a strong, prosperous and developed India.
