SRINAGAR: The High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh has approved the continuation of 19 Judicial Officers beyond the age limits of 58, 55, and 50 years, declaring them fit to continue in service.
According to an order issued by the Registrar General (Officiating), the list includes 18 officers who will attain the age of 58, 55, or 50 during the year 2025. The order has been issued under Rules 21 and 24 of the J&K Higher Judicial Service Rules, 2009.
Those found fit to continue beyond 58 years include Yash Pal Bourney, Jeema Bashir, Jawad Ahmad, Masarat Roohi, Kusum Lata Pandita, Abdul Nasir, Khurshid-ul-Islam, Ahsan-ullah Parvez Malik, and Sushil Singh. These officers will turn 58 between April and November 2025.
Judicial Officers cleared to serve beyond 55 years are Rupali Ratta, Manjit Singh Manhas, Farooq Ahmad Bhat, Adnan Syed, and Abdul Qayoom Mir. Their birthdays fall between June and December 2025.
Four officers—Haq Nawaz Zargar, Tasleem Arief, Dinesh Gupta, and Parvaiz Iqbal—have been found fit to continue after reaching the age of 50. The order reflects the High Court’s ongoing assessment of judicial officers’ competence and fitness beyond key age milestones. It has been circulated to all concerned authorities for information and necessary action.
The move ensures continuity in the judicial system and affirms the court’s trust in the officers’ conduct and capability.
