APRIL 8: Tightening the noose towards the drug menace, Police apprehended a drug peddler in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir.
It is learnt that the peddler was arrested with one kilogram of 1.2 kg of contraband substance (Brown Sugar) on Tuesday.
As per the reports, the peddler was apprehended in the Boniyar area of the North Kashmir district.
The peddler has been identified as Manzoor Ahmad Mir resident of Boniyar. A case under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered and further investigation has been launched in this regard.
The swift and stringent action against the drug menace by Police has added a feather to their cap.
