AUG 11: With bullets fired intermittently and blaring sounds of explosions rattling the forest belt, the security operation to eliminate terrorists entered the second day in Kishtwar on Monday.
Since, the terrorists are hiding inside a cave on a cliff at Bhagna forest in Dool area, which is approx 25 km from Kishtwar town, the security forces are vigilant and making intellect assessments to hunt down the ultras.
Pertinent to mention, the search operation in the forest area was launched early Sunday following the tip-off about the presence of two notorious Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists — Riyaz Ahmad and Mudassar Hazari — who have been operational in the district for the past eight years and carry bounty of Rs 10 lakh each.
Additionally, the hiding ultras fired upon the search parties at 6:30 AM on Sunday and on the heels of this, concealed into the forest in light of retaliation.
Induction of more troops was ensured to strengthen the Cordon and make certain the hiding terrorists do not flee. Synergy among the para commandos, Police, CRPF in conjunction with the cutting-edge weapons and real-time drones is prevalent in the anti-terror operation underway in Kishtwar.
Notably, search operation is in progress with security forces displaying indomitable spirit and valour to track and hunt down the terrorists.
