New Delhi, July 23: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) President and former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Thursday joined students protesting at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi, expressing solidarity with their demand for transparent, fair and merit-based examinations.
Addressing the gathering, Mehbooba said the future of the country’s youth cannot be compromised due to corruption, incompetence or alleged examination scams. She demanded strict action against those responsible for irregularities and called for timely justice for affected students.
“Our youth will not pay the price for corruption, incompetence and exam scams. Their future is non-negotiable. Every person responsible must be identified, prosecuted and held accountable. Justice for students cannot be delayed,” she said.
The PDP president reiterated that students deserve a transparent and credible examination system. She urged the authorities to ensure accountability and take effective steps to restore confidence in the recruitment and examination process.
