Rajouri, July 10: Nearly six members of a family from a remote village in Rajouri district were admitted to hospital after they developed symptoms of gastroenteritis and diarrhoea in a suspected case of food poisoning.
According to officials, the family reportedly fell ill after consuming a wild leafy vegetable collected locally. As their condition worsened, they were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital, where they are currently receiving treatment and remain under medical observation.
Preliminary findings indicate that the wild vegetable may have caused the illness, though the exact cause is yet to be confirmed.
Meanwhile, medical teams have been dispatched to the village to assess the situation, and an investigation is underway. More details are awaited.
