Jammu and Kashmir Congress launches Signature Campaign against ‘Vote Theft’

SEPT 30: J&K Congress President Tariq Hameed Karra on Tuesday said that the ECI is thriving under the BJP-led Central Government’s patronage for Electoral Fraud through ‘Vote Theft’.
While chairing a meeting of Coordinators and District Presidents of Kashmir Division at Srinagar Party office, Tariq Karra, launched a scathing attack on the ECI and BJP Government for manipulating polls with an aim to remain in power.
Congress stalwart said “Vote Theft” is hindrance in the ideal functioning of the Democracy and Congress is fully determined to safeguard the democratic institution in the country. He added, since, BJP has come to power, Democracy is under threat as the oppression orchestrated by it is amalgamation of hollow promises persecuting the downtrodden.
Karra also apprised that the Congress party will be launching a mass signature campaign across J&K
Tariq Karra further said that ECI-BJP collusion stands exposed by Rahul Gandhi.
Targeting the ECI, Karra highlighted LoP Rahul Gandhi produced facts regarding vote manipulation and instead of taking imperative measures, ECI demanded an affidavit from him aiming to cover electoral fraud.
“ECI is an autonomous poll body responsible for maintaining transparency and conducting fair elections, however, the unexpected part of sitaution is that it is shielding BJP Government and fostering the Vote Theft,” Karra pointed and apprised, “Congress is launching a signature campaign across Jammu and Kashmir to seek support for Rahul Gandhi’s unwavering fight against ballot rigging.”
Tariq Karra further added that the battle for Statehood is not over and shall continue, even as, asked party leaders prepare for more public outreach programmes.
