JUNE 6: In a significant development and taking infrastructure and railway connectivity a notch higher, Prime Minister inaugurated Chenab Bridge and Anji Bridge making the dream of connecting Kashmir to Kanyakumari, a reality.
It is learnt that the architectural marvel Chenab Rail Bridge, situated at a height of 359 meters above the river, is the world’s highest railway arch bridge comprising of 1,315-metre-long steel arch bridge engineered inclement weather conditions
The Anji Bridge is India’s first cable-stayed rail bridge aimed to serve nation during awful terrain.
PM Modi was flanked by Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, MoS PMO Dr Jitendra Singh, LG Manoj Sinha and CM Omar Abdullah.
