MAY 3: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said terrorism is the biggest threat to humanity and we are determined to taking firm & decisive action against terrorists and those who aid them.
PM Narendra Modi said this addressing a press conference in the presence of Angolan President João Lourenço.
PM Modi said, “After a gap of 38 years, the Angola President João Lourenço is visiting India. This visit not only provides a new direction and impetus to India-Angola relations but also strengthens the partnership between India and Africa.”
Prime Minister reiterated terrorism is the biggest threat to humanity and we (India) is committed to take firm action against terrorists and those who are aiding and abetting it.
He said, “We have also invited Angola to join India’s initiatives like the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure, the Big Cat Alliance, and the Global Biofuels Alliance.”
PM Modi said, “We thank Angola for their support in our fight against cross-border terrorism. On behalf of 1.4 billion Indians, I extend my best wishes to Angola for its presidency of the African Union. It is a matter of pride for us that during India’s G20 presidency, the African Union received permanent membership in the G20.”
