JAMMU, MARCH 12: J&K Government on Wednesday dismissed its decision pertaining to the construction of accommodations for employees appointed under PM package for Kashmiri Migrants.
A question in this regard was asked by MLA Fayaz and Department of Disaster Management Relief Rehabilitation and Reconstruction (DMRRR) reverted by saying 6,000 one-bedroom flats (1-BHK) were approved under PMDP 2015 for Kashmiri Migrant Employees. This was approved at 20 locations.
Earlier the sanctioned cost was at Rs 920 Crore and then it was upgraded to Rs 1,325 Crore
It also said as per the directions of CM Mufti Mohd Syed permission for 2 BHK flats at two locations was granted.
Regarding the possibility of revisiting this, the Government clarified that as of now no such proposal is under consideration.
