DEC 5: With IndiGo chaos mounting and irking the stranded passangers, the airline on Friday issued a detailed public apology to passengers, confirming the full-day cancellation of all domestic departures from Delhi Airport (DEL) on December 5, 2025
In a post on X, IndiGo said that they profoundly apologize and have an understanding of the difficulty in past days. While this will not settle overnight, airlines said, adding that they will be supportive in the meantime till the operations normalized at the earliest.
The Airline faced array of issues leading to massive cancellation and imparting limited information to the passengers. The posted added, that highest number of cancellations were witnessed on December 5 as Indigo undertakes a system reboot to restore schedules in uniform way.
“We will ensure that all refunds for your cancellations will be processed automatically to your original mode of payment, at the earliest,” Indigo said.
Besides, IndiGo Airlines have made the arrangements in Hotels for stranded customers besides food and snacks provided at airports. Moreover, the airline has urged passengers to avoid travelling to the airport if their flight is cancelled and adviced to follow the updates on their website.
In the meanwhile, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has asked Airline Pilots’ Association of India (ALPA India) for cooperation amid the ongoing crisis.
Pertinent to mention, more than 500 IndiGo flights were delayed or cancelled on Friday resulting in massive inconvenience to passengers.
