JAMMU, JULY 18: In an appalling and tragic incident, a truck rams into a vehicle near Battal Ballian in Udhampur district leaving eight Amarnath pilgrims injured on Friday.
Reports suggest, eight Amarnath pilgrims sustained wounds when a truck bearing registration number PB65AV/9318 collided with car (UP81BN/3701), which was ferrying pilgrims from the Pahalgam Yatra track.
It is learnt that five passengers survived critical wounds and were promptly referred to the Government Medical College (GMC) Associated Hospital in Udhampur for further medical attention. Besides, other three, who sustained minor injuries were treated on the spot.
Meanwhile, Police has taken cognizance of the matter and initiated investigation in this regard.
