APRIL 17: A soldier has been apprehended in connection grenade hurling incident at the residence of a Punjab-based YouTuber in March.
On Thursday, Punjab Police said that a jawan Sukhcharan Singh has been arrested for training the accused involved in hurling the grenade at the residence of Punjab-based YouTuber Rozer Sandhu in March.
However, the grenade failed to explode.
It is learnt that a court in Jalandhar sent the soldier to a five-day police remand and further investigation in the matter is in progress.
Following the incident, Pakistani gangster Shahzad Bhatti had claimed responsibility for the grenade hurling incident. Bhatti said he did it because YouTuber had allegedly used disrespectful language against the Muslim community.
