MARCH 24: An FIR has been filed against stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra for his remarks on Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
It is learnt that Shiv Sena MLA Murji Patel filed an FIR against Kumal Karma and sought an apology from Kamra at the earliest.
Patel warned if Kamra does not apologize, he will not be able to move freely. Patel also said that he will highlight the issue in the Assembly.
“An FIR has been filed against Kunal Kamra for his awful remarks against our leader Eknath Shinde. Shiv Sena has sought swift and stringent action against him. Sena wants him to be apologetic to Eknath Shinde within two days else he won’t be able to roam freely in Mumbai,” said Patel.
Pertinent to mention, Kunal Kamra is an Indian stand-up comedian popular for his observational comedy. Kunal Kamra’s comments on Eknath Shinde triggered huge row. During a recent performance in Mumbai, Kamra dubbed Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde as a traitor throwing light on his political career which resulted in spilit in Shiv Sena.
