Jammu, July 7: A man lost his life while two others were injured after a car met with an accident in the Chowki Choura area of Akhnoor in Jammu district on Tuesday.
According to officials, the accident took place on the highway when a car, bearing registration number JK11A-4854, reportedly skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge.
The deceased has been identified as Raju Sharma, son of Dev Raj and a resident of Kalakote.
The injured, identified as Roshan Lal, son of Sham Lal, a resident of Kangri Beripattan, and Tushar Raina, son of Madan Lal, a resident of Kalakote, were rescued and shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
Police have registered a case and launched an investigation to ascertain the cause of the accident.
