Srinagar | April 17: The weather across Jammu and Kashmir is expected to remain largely cloudy with intermittent spells of light rain and thundershowers at several places from April 17 to 19, particularly during morning and late evening hours, officials said on Friday.
Director of the Meteorological Department in Srinagar, Mukhtar Ahmad, said that gusty winds with speeds of around 40–50 kilometres per hour and the possibility of hailstorms at isolated locations are also likely during this period.
He further stated that weather conditions are expected to improve from April 20 to 24, with mostly dry weather likely to prevail across the Union Territory. Similar conditions are forecast for April 25 and 26, although brief spells of light rain or thundershowers accompanied by gusty winds may occur at isolated places during afternoon hours.
The official noted that strong winds on Thursday evening caused minor disruptions to electricity supply in several parts of the Kashmir Valley.
