JULY 4: Swept with religious fervour and gaiety, the third batch of pilgrims for the annual Shri Amarnath Yatra Ji left from Jammu Base Camp on Friday.
The batch underpins 6,411 pilgrims left in two separate convoys for Baltal in Ganderbal district and Pahalgam in Anantnag district for Holy Amarnath Shrine.
As per the reports, as many as 291 vehicles were deployed for transportation which ferried 4,723 males, 1,071 females, 37 children, 487 sadhus, and 93 sadhvis. It is learnt that both convoys were escorted by security forces and paramedical teams.
Heavy deployment of security forces underpinning J&K Police CRPF, ITBP has been in place to ensure hassle-free yatra of Shri Amarnath Ji.
Pertinent to mention, that the 38-day-long pilgrimage that commenced on July 3 is slated to culminate on August 9, 2025.
