Jammu, June 19: Authorities in Kathua have disengaged a Special Police Officer (SPO) from service over allegations of misconduct and prolonged unauthorized absence from duty.
According to an order issued by the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Kathua, the action was taken against SPO Rishi Sharma following inputs received from the District Special Branch regarding his alleged involvement in corrupt activities.
The order further directs the disengaged SPO to surrender all government-issued items, including his uniform and arms/ammunition. Following his removal, the post has been declared vacant.
