SEPT 13: Claiming that the situation returned to normal in Kashmir, J&K National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah said that the Pahalgam massacre delivered a huge blow to tourism that is quite pertinent for the valley.
Dr Farooq Abdullah said, “The attack took place on April 22 and delivered a major blow to tourism which is vital for Kashmir as from the poorest to the richest, everyone benefits from it.”
NC President emphasized that the monetary benefits made by the shopkeepers and other businessmen in Summer season used to sustain through Winter months when Tourism is slow.
“The benefits made through the Summer Tourism by business fraternity help them sustain through Winter months when tourism is at snail pace,” said Dr Farooq.
Dr Farooq Abdullah said that people from all walks of life and from all sects of society unitedly opposed the incident.
NC Stalwart added that the situation here has returned to normal and appealed to visit and enjoy the hospitality of Kashmir.
Pertinent to mention, the Pahalgam bloodshed claimed 26 lives and was retaliated by “Operation Sindoor” wherein Indian Armed Forces destroyed the terror infrastructure in PoK.
