BJP holds series of meetings at BJP headquarters

JAMMU, JULY 8: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu & Kashmir held a series of organizational meetings with District Development Council (DDC) members and senior leaders of party, at the BJP headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
J&K BJP President Sat Sharma, Leader of Opposition in J&K Assembly and BJP State General Secretary Sunil Sharma, former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta, BJP General Secretary Adv. Vibodh Gupta, DDC Chairman Bharat Bhushan, and BJP Headquarters Incharge Priya Sethi addressed the meetings.

Also present in the meeting were former Deputy Mayor Baldev Singh Billawaria, senior leader Vinay Gupta, DDCs Dharminder Kumar, Bhushan Bral, Vidya Mottan, Sharda Bhau, and Geetu Aulakh, Ayodhya Gupta, Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, Adv. Rajesh Gupta, Naresh Singh, Ved Sharma, Narain Singh, Parmod Kapahi, Sanjay Kumar Baru, Munish Khajuria, Dr. Shishu, and other prominent office bearers.

The meeting focused on energizing the party’s grassroots leadership, chalking out strategies for upcoming organizational programmes, and emphasizing community outreach. A key highlight of the session was the call by Sat Sharma to observe Guru Purnima as a festival of ‘Bharatiya Sanskriti’ and our cultural pride.

“Guru Purnima is a sacred occasion that binds society with values of gratitude, knowledge and respect for religious and spiritual Gurus, teachers and mentors. Our party leaders and public representatives must celebrate it as a mass participation programme, reflecting BJP’s strong cultural foundation,” said Sat Sharma. He urged DDC members to actively participate in societal programmes and strengthen public bonding.

Sunil Sharma remarked that the BJP believes in politics of values, not just power. Celebrating Guru Purnima collectively is a step towards nurturing our civilizational heritage. He termed the BJP leaders especially the party’s public representatives including MLAs and DDC members as the bridge between governance and people, and stressed on their visible and meaningful involvement in social causes.

Kavinder Gupta stated that the Guru Purnima is an opportunity to connect with our roots and people. Our elected representatives must utilize such occasions to reinforce our cultural identity and stay grounded with the masses, he added.
Adv. Vibodh Gupta added, “This is the time to turn every cultural occasion into an outreach initiative. Let us reflect our ideology of service by actively participating in community activities.”

Bharat Bhushan thanked the party leadership for consistently involving grassroots representatives in key initiatives. Such engagements boost our morale and direction, he said.

Priya Sethi said that under the visionary leadership of PM Modi and the guidance of our state leadership, every festival must be seen as an opportunity for community building. Guru Purnima is an occasion to express collective respect and promote traditional Indian wisdom.”
