Ramban, April 6: A police vehicle heading towards District Police Lines (DPL) Pulwama from Jammu suffered damage after being struck by falling debris in the Karool landslide zone of Ramban district along the Jammu–Srinagar National Highway (NH-44), officials said on Monday.
Officials reported that stones suddenly tumbled down from the hillside as the vehicle was passing through the affected stretch, leading to minor damage. Fortunately, the police personnel traveling in the vehicle were not injured and managed to escape safely.
Authorities noted that the Karool section of the highway remains vulnerable to landslides and falling stones, especially during unstable weather conditions. Travelers and transport operators have been advised to exercise caution while moving through the area until the situation stabilizes.
