MAY 20: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday chaired a comprehensive meet to assess tourism sector of India.
The meeting comes post the terror attack in Phalagam of J&K which claimed 26 lives on April 22 and intimidated tourists for visiting the valley.
Since then, the Central Government has been aggressively pushing to boost tourism in the valley and attempting to take it to new heights.
The comprehensive meeting laid emphasis on examining the current plans and looking for ways to promote tourism across the country.
Previous, several imperative meetings were held by J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah with Hoteliers and other stakeholders to promote tourism which subsided due to Pahalgam massacre.
