MAY 20: The Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) of the Indian Army has destroyed a live Pakistani shell in Poonch.
The Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) of the Indian Army has destroyed a live Pakistani shell near a border area village in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The live shell was placed on the roadside and destroyed by the BDS personnel.
It is learnt that the shell destroyed by Army came from Pakistan.
Notably, the locals hailed the Indian Army for their gallant efforts to defuse the shell.
Pertinent to mention, that following Operation Sindoor, the ceasefire has been restored between both the nations.
Apart from this, six terrorists were gunned down by the security forces in two different encounters that broke out in Shopian and Awantipora districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
