Srinagar,Jan 12:Fauz-e-Azeem, a talented Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) player from Kashmir, has made history by becoming the first gamer from the region to receive a nomination at the national-level Krafton Esports India Awards. He has been nominated in the Rookie Esports Player of the Year category for his outstanding performances in major BGMI tournaments.
Known by his in-game name Kalyug, Fauz-e-Azeem’s nomination is a testament to his consistent excellence in high-pressure LAN and national competitions. His notable achievements include winning the Sky Realme LAN Championship, finishing 17th overall at BGIS 2023, and securing eighth place at the BMPS LAN. He has also earned recognition as a Most Valuable Player (MVP) contender in multiple tournaments ¹ ².
The awards ceremony, held in Mumbai, brought together leading players, teams, and stakeholders from India’s rapidly growing e-sports industry.
