MARCH 22: The Jammu and Kashmir Government introduced its first bill in the Legislative Assembly on Saturday.
On the heels of question hour, Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary, at the behest of Omar Abdullah, introduced the Jammu & Kashmir Goods and Service Tax (Amendment) Bill-2025 in the House.
It is learnt that the bill seeks to align J&K’s GST law with some changes conducted in the Central Goods and Services Tax law.
Pertinent to mention, that under central rule in J&K since 2018, the legislative powers of the J&K Assembly were with Parliament.
