Jammu | October 28: In a setback for the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, Nitish Kumar Goswami, Provincial Vice President of the Youth National Conference, Jammu Province, has resigned from all organisational positions in the party with immediate effect.
In his resignation letter addressed to National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah, Goswami stated that he had been associated with the party for the past 18 years and had served in various capacities during his political journey.
Expressing disappointment over what he described as the continued neglect of young leaders and dedicated party workers, Goswami said that despite years of hard work and loyalty, their contributions were not receiving the recognition, respect and importance they deserved.
He emphasised that a political organisation could grow stronger only by respecting its workers, recognising the contributions of young leaders and providing them with opportunities to serve and grow.
Goswami urged the party leadership to reflect on the concerns of dedicated youth leaders and ensure that deserving workers receive due recognition.
In his letter, he clarified that the decision had not been taken in haste but was the result of deep disappointment after 18 years of association and service with the National Conference.
