JUNE 28: On Saturday, at least 13 security personnel lost lives and 24 others survived critical wounds in a suicide attack in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
It is learnt that a suicide bomber collided an explosives-laden vehicle into a Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle of Bomb Disposal unit in Khaddi area.
Besides, among 24 injured are 14 civilians with several of them in critical condition.
Following the incident, the area was cordoned off and curfew was imposed in the area owing to ongoing military movement.
Security agencies initiated a rescue operation on the heels of the explosion.
The proscribed militant group Usud al-Harb, a sub-faction of Hafiz Gul Bahadur has claimed responsibility for the attack.
