Jammu: An exceptionally large radish has recently made its way to Jammu city, capturing the attention of locals due to its impressive size.
This radish, which is not only gigantic but also organically grown, has become a topic of conversation. It weighs around seven to eight kilograms and stretches to a length of four to five feet.
This radish is the largest of its kind to ever be seen in Jammu and Kashmir. It was unveiled at a press club by a local farmer, who shared that the radish was grown completely naturally, without any chemical injections or artificial growth methods.
According to the farmer, the radish was cultivated over a period of three months using only water and natural fertilizers, showcasing the potential of organic farming.
The farmer stated, “This radish was grown using only water and natural fertilizers, and we are hopeful of selling it in the market. But so far, it hasn’t found a buyer yet. People are astonished by its size, and I was also taken aback when I first saw it.”
He also mentioned that the seed for this massive radish was sourced from Beganj and that the local shop has now gained popularity for selling such large produce.
While many locals are excited to try this enormous radish in their kitchens, some have even suggested it could be used as animal feed due to its size and nutritional value.
