Srinagar, May 4, 2026: BJP Kashmir unit leaders and workers on Monday celebrated the party’s performance in the recent West Bengal and Assam elections, terming it a sign of the party’s growing national strength.
Speaking on the occasion, BJP spokesperson Altaf Thakur said the party’s next focus will be Jammu and Kashmir. He claimed that the BJP will strengthen its presence in the Union Territory at every level.
“The next target is Jammu and Kashmir. Here we will expand our organisation, bring in new leaders, new voters, and even new slogans,” Thakur said.
Referring to West Bengal, he alleged that the situation under Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had seen a decline in law and order, using strong political language to criticise her administration.
The BJP leaders said that the results in West Bengal and Assam reflect public support for the party’s policies and leadership at the national level.
