APRIL 10: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will commence a campaign to sensitize people especially Muslim community about various benefits of Waqf (Amendment) Bill from April 20.
BJP National President JP Nadda while addressing the office-bearers during a workshop hit out at Congress for misleading the people of country over Waqf Amendment Bill.
It is learnt that the saffron outfit will launch a fortnightly campaign to generate cognizance about Waqf Act and other pertinent features pertaining to it from April 20.
Nadda outrightly stated that the Modi-led Government is fully committed to uplift the backward Muslims and women by making them stakeholders in Waqf management. He reiterated this will ensure transparency and accountability in operation and functioning of Waqf.
Pertinent to mention, the Waqf Amendment Bill received green signal from Pesident of India Droupadi Murmu after its got passed in both the Houses.
