SEPT 3: A mother-daughter duo died in wall collapse on Wednesday as relentless rain battered parts of Kangri village of Sunderbani in Rajouri district.
The tragic incident occurred in the intervening night of September 2 and 3.
Reports suggest, Sita Devi, wife of Rattan Lal, and her daughter Sonia Lal, were inside their residential building when the wall suddenly collapsed.
On the heels of this, Police and a rescue team rushed to the spot and retrieved their bodies.
It is learnt that the incident occurred owing to incessant rain that wreaked havoc in the area resulting in wall collapse and leaving the duo dead.
Police has taken cognizance of the matter and launched further investigation to ascertain the cause of the incident.
