APRIL 4: On Saturday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah reaffirmed the commitment of the Modi-led BJP Government to free the country from Maoists by March 2026.
Shah outrightly stated that the country will be free from Naxalism by March of next year. He said Naxilism is at last leg in Bastar and the BJP Government is determined to eliminate Naxalism completely.
Shah said during Bastar Pandum celebration in Chhattisharh, “In past three months, as many as 521 Naxals have surrendered and conceded defeat by shunning their ideology. 881 Naxals gave up in 2024.”
“Those who surrender will be included in mainstream world and the ones who are with arms will face iron hand of security forces,” Shah said, adding, Bastar is now a symbol of the future rather than fear.
“Agle March tak, hum poore Desh ko iss ‘laal atank’ se mukt karne ka kaam Bharatiya Janata Party ki sarkar karegi,” Union Home Minister said.
Amit Shah said, “Naxal terror used to force leaders to stopped giving speeches. But in the current times we are celebrating Ram Navami and Ashtami with 50,000 Adivasi brothers and sisters with fervour and gaiety.”
