Terror Infiltration Case:
In absence of Landlord, PNB employee questioned by agency

Jammu: In an ongoing probe into how the terrorist sympathizers were facilitating infiltrations and aiding terror activities inside Indian territory, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) Wednesday conducted searches at over twelve locations across Jammu.
NIA teams conducted extensive searches at the homes of the suspects linked with the newly-formed offshoots and affiliates of banned terrorist organizations such as the Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and JeI. The raids which were conducted from early in the morning at 6 am concluded at about 11am.
“The search took place as part of the action taken by the anti-terror agency in the case RC-04/2024/NIA/JMU. The case is linked with the series of attacks carried out by terrorists on security forces and civilians some months ago as part of a larger criminal conspiracy by terror organisations to wage a war against the Government of India”, said official sources.
They said that four NIA teams headed by Inspector Vikram Choudhary, Inspector Aurn Sharma, Inspector Ankit Thakur and SI Parveen Kumar along with the cops of Jammu and Kashmir Police searched the premises of suspects at Sidhra, Nagrota, Belicharana,Talab Khatikan, Roopnagar and others. They said that the NIA team conducted raid and searched the premises of Mohd Maqbool of Sidhra, Mushtaq Ahmed of Sidhra, Sajjad Ahmed Khatana of Kokernag, Anantnag at present Sidhra and Mohd Younis Bhatti of Nagrota.
The fifth team of NIA conducted a raid at the house of Abdul Majeed alias Shama of Khatkikan Talab Jammu.
The sixth NIA team led by Inspector Jasvir Singh conducted a raid in the premises of Abdul Karim of Udhampur at present Belicharana, Jammu (JeI activist).
The seventh team of NIA conducted a raid in the premises of Abdul Rashid Wani alias Manna Ji of Kulgam at present Roop Nagar, Jammu. Official sources said that Abdul Rashid Wani was not present at home.
They said that the NIA team also questioned one Anil Koul, an employee of PNB Bank, who was living in his house on rent.
The NIA team summoned Aman Rashid to attend the office of NIA Jammu for questioning.
The action followed information received by NIA regarding infiltration of LeT and JeM terrorists into India through the international Border (IB) and Line of Control (LoC). Reports suggested that the terrorists were facilitated by OGWs and terror associates living in border areas. Besides providing logistical support, food, shelter and money, the suspects were involved in guiding the terrorists through the difficult terrains of Jammu province to ensure their safe passage.
The terrorists were then believed to have made their way to the hinterland districts of Kathua, Udhampur, Doda, Kishtwar, Reasi, Rajouri, Poonch, and also to the Kashmir valley.
