JAMMU: A shocking road accident occurred in Gujjar Nagar, Jammu, where an Alto car veered off the road and fell onto the roof of a residential building near the Circular Road stretch. The incident, which took place during the afternoon hours, left bystanders stunned but thankfully did not result in any major injuries to the car’s occupants or residents of the house.
The vehicle, bearing registration number JK 02 AA 5670, reportedly lost control while navigating a sharp turn. Eyewitnesses stated that the car, driven by a young woman, slipped and crashed through the rooftop, leaving the vehicle severely damaged. An eyewitness shared, “We were sitting downstairs when we heard a loud crash. Initially, we thought it was a wall collapse, but it turned out to be a car landing on the roof.”
According to sources at the scene, the car was carrying a young man and woman at the time of the incident. Both were rescued by locals and were found to have escaped with minor injuries. The vehicle’s occupants were immediately taken to a nearby hospital for medical evaluation, but reports confirm that they are in stable condition.
