J&K: PDD orders Transfer and Posting of Officers

Jammu,Dec 30 : The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has ordered the placement of 14 In-charge Executive Engineers (Electrical) as In-charge Superintending Engineers (Electrical) on an officiating basis, with immediate effect, according to an official order issued by the Power Development Department.

As per Government Order No. 183-JK(PDD) of 2025, dated December 30, 2025, the officers have been placed in their own pay and grade, along with admissible charge allowance. The placements are temporary and have been made on a stop-gap basis.

The engineers placed as In-charge Superintending Engineers include Mohammad Ayub Khan, Mohammad Yousuf Mir, Syed Ahmad Wani, Samir Sharma, Latif Ahmad Wani, Sanjay Gupta, Ajaz Ahmad Salati, Riyaz Ahmad Sheikh, Ajaz Muzaffar Ronga, Tariq Rasool Want, Abdul Rouf Bhat, Mohd Amin Shah, Davinder Singh Bijral and Kuldeep Raj.

The government order clarifies that the placements are subject to the outcome of any writ petitions pending before competent courts and shall not confer any right or equity for regular promotion under the rules through the Departmental Promotion Committee or Public Service Commission. It further states that in case of any adverse report against an officer, the placement shall be withdrawn ab initio without prior notice.

Consequent upon the placements, several transfers and postings of In-charge Superintending Engineers have also been ordered. Mohammad Ayub Khan has been posted as In-charge Superintending Engineer, Generation Circle-I, Baramulla, JKPDC, while also holding additional charge of Executive Engineer, ED-Handwara, KPDCL. Mohammad Yousuf Mir has been posted as In-charge Superintending Engineer, PMU, JK. Syed Ahmad Wani has been posted as Technical Officer to the Managing Director, KPDCL, Srinagar, and will also hold additional charge ED-II, Srinagar g12.

Samir Sharma has been posted as In-charge Superintending Engineer, Project Circle-I, JPDCL, Jammu, with additional charge of Executive Engineer, TLMD-V, JKPTCL, Jammu. Latif Ahmad Wani has been posted as In-charge Superintending Engineer, CVPPL, JK, and will also hold additional charge of Executive Engineer, ED-Kishtwar, JPDCL. Sanjay Gupta has been posted as In-charge Superintending Engineer, BHEP-I, Chanderkot, JKPDC.

Ajaz Ahmad Salati has been posted as In-charge Superintending Engineer (Trading), JKPCL, JK, while Riyaz Ahmad Sheikh has been posted as In-charge Superintending Engineer, Project Circle South (Awantipora), KPDCL, with additional charge of Executive Engineer, Project Division River Left, Srinagar. Ajaz Muzaffar Ronga has been posted as In-charge Superintending Engineer, Projects Circle Central, Srinagar, KPDCL, and will also hold additional charge of Executive Engineer, ED-IV Khanyar.

Tariq Rasool Want has been posted as In-charge Superintending Engineer, Planning Circle, KPDCL, Srinagar. Abdul Rouf Bhat has been posted as In-charge Superintending Engineer, OM Circle Batote, while also holding additional charge of Executive Engineer, ED-Doda and STD-Doda. Mohd Amin Shah has been posted as In-charge Superintending Engineer, Projects Circle North, KPDCL, with additional charge of Executive Engineer, ED-Baramulla. Davinder Singh Bijral has been posted as In-charge Superintending Engineer, OM Circle-I, JKPTCL, Jammu, and Kuldeep Raj as In-charge Superintending Engineer, OM Circle, Rajouri, JPDCL.
