NOV 15: Swami Suchetanand, the State Coordinator of Divya Jyoti Jagriti Sansthan, Jammu & Kashmir, said that India has been the sacred land of great saints and gurus who have conveyed the message of social equality, mutual brotherhood, and moral values to humanity.
Swami Suchetanand said that India’s guru tradition has always been based on harmony and compassion. The gurus dedicated their lives to public welfare, working to eradicate the superstitions and social evils prevalent in society. He said that Guru Ravidass was one such great saint and social reformer who raised his voice against caste, discrimination, and social inequality. His teachings awakened self-respect, equality, and human values in society.
He further said that even today, the teachings of Guru Ravidass are just as relevant as they were in his own time. His messages, aimed at eliminating social disparities and uplifting humanity, inspire us to ensure respect and equal opportunities for every section of society.
Swami Suchetanand said that Divya Jyoti Jagriti Sansthan is always committed to serving humanity by following the path shown by the great gurus and saints. Appreciating the work “Raidas Vandana”, he said that literature of this kind helps promote awareness and positive transformation in society. He shared these views after receiving a copy of “Raidas Vandana” from its author, Balbir Ram Rattan.
On this occasion, Balbir Ram Rattan said that great personalities like Guru Ravidass do not belong to any single community but are guiding lights for the entire human society. His thoughts have been strong foundations of social change. He said that the teachings of such gurus, in today’s times, inspire love, unity, and collective development.
Balbir added that the tradition of gurus and saints not only provides spiritual guidance but also gives society the strength to move forward.
