OCT 13: J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday said the BJP cannot win any seat devoid of horse trading and if they are claiming then it will have to be through the money power, muscle power and power of agencies.
CM Omar Abdullah said, “BJP cannot win three seats without doing horse trading… it cannot win one seat without horse trading. BJP needs 30 to win fourth seat of Rajya Sabha, they have 28 MLAs and no MLA apart from 28 are with BJP or that have shown the support to BJP in last one year… if they are claiming they are going to win three Rajya Sabha seats – it is through money power, muscle power and power of agencies…”
CM Omar added, “And people in Bihar say right otherwise today as numbers go, BJP is in postion to win not even a single seat. This is Rajya Sabha Elections and it will show us who are friends and who are foes of BJP. Anyone who abstains is not friend of BJP and one who votes in their favour is friend of saffron brigade.”
This election will be true test that who will be with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and who stands against them said CM Omar Abdullah.
On the Congress row of seat sharing, CM Omar said, “There was no last-minute change..Congress has decided not to field their candidate. We had kept one seat for them, but now we’ll contest all four.”
On Dr Farooq Abdullah not contesting Rajya Sabha Elections, CM Omar said, “Dr Farooq Abdullah himself has decided to step back from the Rajya Sabha Polls and I don’t think this has led to speculations for Budgam, because somebody who is himself not willing to field themselves as Rajya Sabha candidate will certainly not willing to subject themselves to strains of Assembly Election Campaign. Dr Farooq Abdullah is guiding light of NC and most respectful leaders in the country.”
NC Stalwart and CM Omar said that the party will figure out the Assembly Seats of Budgam and Nagrota
CM said, “Every election is a test. No election is straightforward, Nagrota is not straightforward for BJP and no by-polls is straightforward for any party. NC will put best foot forward in Budgam and will rely on wisdom of voters of Budgam.”
