Assi Jammu ke vaste yeh karenge, woh karengi tusi vote doh…Jab vote milte hai toh kuch bhi nahi hota…: Mehbooba’s dig at BJP, NC

AUG 1: Addressing a huge gathering to commemorate party’s Foundation Day, former J&K Chief Minister and People’s Democratic Party President Mehbooba Mufti on Friday said that Jammu has been sidelined and BJP, NC are the architects of appeasement politics.

Mehbooba Mufti outrightly stated, “Everyone talks about Kashmir, even US President Donald Trump but no one talks about Jammu.”

Taking the swipe at political outfits (NC and BJP), she said, “They only speak about Jammu during the elections when they want votes.”

Mehbooba Mufti said that PDP patron Mufti Mohammed Syed used to say that issue of Kashmir can be resolved first from Jammu then from Delhi.

She enumerated the accomplishments of her father Mufti Mohd Syed and said hampered development in Jammu and Kashmir is a matter of concern.

Mehbooba said, “Jammu and Kashmir has to keep same ideology… I know there’re difficulties.”

In Dogri dialect, Mehbooba Mufti came down heavily on the NC and BJP, “Assi Jammu Ke Vaste Yeh Karenge, Woh Karengi tusi vote doh…We will do this, do that for Jammu just caste ballot in our favour.”

She added, “Jab vote milte hai toh kuch bhi nahi hota… When they are voted to power, they do nothing…”

Mehbooba said that rampant unemployment and price rise are major problems in Jammu and Kashmir, adding, since 2018 Jammu has BJP and Delhi has BJP, but J&K didn’t prosper.

She also took NC to task which is on the verge of completing one year in J&K.

Stressing on tranquility and conducive ecosystem, Mehbooba Mufti said BJP will befool Jammu and NC will befool whole Jammu and Kashmir until peace is restored in J&K.

“Mufti sahib left Congress to restore peace in J&K, which he said would be certain by putting an end to the culture of guns,” Mehbooba said.

“And same was roadmap of Shri Atal Bihari Vajyapee ji,” she added.

Higlighting the issue of Gujjar youth Mohd Parvez killed by Police, Mehbooba said, “Half dozen Gujjar people have been killed across Jammu and Kashmir” stressing, the oppression orchestrated by BJP, NC has to be stopped.
