MAY 17: All-party delegation comprising of seven-members is set to visit key partner nations including members of UN Security Council.
It is learnt that the delegation will present India’s message to the world regarding “Operation Sindoor” and India’s continued fight against cross-border terrorism.
The following Members of Parliament will lead the seven delegations: BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad, Congress leader Shashi Tharoor, JDU leader Sanjay Kumar Jha, BJP leader Baijayant Panda, DMK leader Kanimozhi Karunanidhi, NCP leader Supriya Sule, and Shiv Sena leader Shrikant Eknath Shinde.
Taking to social networking site X, Kiren Rijiju posted, “In moments that matter most, Bharat stands united.”
He added, “Seven All-Party Delegations will soon visit key partner nations, carrying our shared message of zero-tolerance to terrorism. A powerful reflection of national unity above politics, beyond differences.”
Pertinently, this is the first time that Centre will asked MPs from different political outfits to put forward the stance of India on terrorism.
