MARCH 21: Setting the ball rolling for the tourism season in Kashmir, Srinagar’s Tulip Garden, will be thrown open for public on March 26.
The Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden was established by Ghulam Nabi Azad, former Chief Minister in 2007 with the aim to boost tourism in Jammu and Kashmir.
Since the tulips of umptten colours have bloomed, the garden will be opened to public on March 26, infomed the officials.
The authorities plant Tulip Bulbs in phased manner to ensure the flowers bloom for months. Arrangements for the garden’s opening are in progress with concluding touches being given to ensure readiness.
It is learnt that new colour scheme has been introduced this year, to enhance the mesmerizing look of the Garden.
