Shopian , June 5: Six members of a family, including children, were injured after a car met with an accident near Dubjan on the Mughal Road in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Friday.

Officials said the vehicle, a Swift car travelling from Rajouri to Shopian, reportedly went out of control and plunged down a slope after the driver lost command of the steering.

The injured include the driver, Sunil Sharma, along with five members of a family from Rajouri. All of them sustained injuries in the mishap and were immediately rescued by local authorities and emergency teams.

The injured were shifted to District Hospital Shopian, where they were admitted for treatment. Hospital officials said the victims are receiving medical care and their condition is being monitored.

Meanwhile, police have registered the incident and initiated an investigation into the cause of the accident.
