Motorcyclist killed, another injured in road accident in Baramulla

Srinagar, May 6: A motorcyclist was killed and another was injured in a road accident in north Kashmir district of Baramulla on Thursday.

Official sources said that a motorcycle was hit by a speeding tipper at Sheeri in Baramulla, resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist and his pillion mate. “The injured were immediately rushed to a hospital where one of them, identified as Imtiyaz Ahmad Khan, was declared brought dead,” they said.

Police has registered a case and initiated investigation into the incident. “After completing all the legal and medical formalities, the body would be handed over to his relatives for last rites,” they added.
