Anantnag, May 9: Manoj Sinha on Saturday led a massive padyatra in south Kashmir’s Anantnag under the ongoing “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan” as part of the 100-Day Nasha Mukt J&K Campaign aimed at spreading awareness against drug abuse.
The anti-drug rally began from Government Degree College Khanabal and concluded at New Basti, SBI Chowk, with thousands of people participating in the awareness march.
A large gathering of students, traders, locals and members of social and religious organisations joined the padyatra to express support for the campaign seeking a drug-free Jammu and Kashmir.
Senior civil and police officials also accompanied the Lieutenant Governor during the rally. Participants raised awareness slogans and pledged to work collectively against drug abuse while educating youth about the harmful effects of narcotics.
Officials said elaborate arrangements were made by the district administration for the smooth conduct of the event, which witnessed significant public participation from different parts of the district.
