In a significant breakthrough, Jammu Police apprehended a notorious criminal, Pankaj Singh alias Panku Raja, son of Gopal Singh, hailing from Kotli Mian Fateh, Miran Sahib. The accused, a history-sheeter of Police Station Miran Sahib, has 12 FIRs registered against him and was recently released after serving detention under the Public Safety Act (PSA).
Acting on a tip-off, a team from Police Station Bishnah conducted a swift raid, leading to the arrest of the accused. During the operation, the police seized 25 grams of a heroin-like substance and a 9mm pistol from his possession.
The operation was led by Inspector Sushil Choudhary, SHO Bishnah, under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura and SP Headquarters Jammu. This arrest reflects the police’s continued efforts to crack down on crime and drug-related activities in the region.
A case has been registered at Police Station Bishnah under relevant sections of law. Investigations are underway to identify the broader network behind the recovered narcotics and illegal firearm.
