Jammu:A stormy scene unfolded in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly on Saturday as a verbal confrontation broke out between National Conference minister Sakina Masood Itoo and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) MLA Waheed ur Rehman Para, drawing sharp reactions from members across party lines.
The exchange grew increasingly tense when the minister criticized the opposition’s conduct in the House, accusing some legislators of resorting to dramatic actions instead of constructive debate. She argued that governance requires responsibility and seriousness rather than symbolic protests.
During the discussion, Itoo repeatedly referenced earlier remarks made by PDP president and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, using them to question the opposition’s political approach and past decisions.
