AUG 30: DGP J&K Sh Nalin Prabhat, IPS along with DIG JSK , Sh Shiv Kumar Sharma IPS , SSP Kathua Sh Shobhit Saxena IPS along with other officers of J&K police visited Border District Kathua , to review the border security amid damage caused by incessant flooding. Also visited Lakhanpur Madhopur Bridges damaged due floods SSP pathankot , SP Traffic Punjab also joined during the visit of DGP JK.
DGP J&K was briefed at BSF BOP by senior officers of BSF regarding loss of property at international border. He also visited forward areas to firsthand witness the damage caused. He interacted with BSF personnel involved in relief and rescue efforts.
Further DGP visited Sahar Khad bridge and Lakahnpur Madhopur bridge on NH44, which have been damaged due to flash floods. He reviewed traffic situation on Punjab Border & interacted with NHAI official vis a vis restoration work.
Lastly , DGP J&K held a meeting with seniors officers of BSF , CRPF & J&K police , he stressed on importance of maintaining strict vigil in border areas. He reiterated that J&K police stands firmly with all sister agencies so as to further strengthen border security.
