MAY 12: Ahead of the Director General of Military Operations meeting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a high-level-meeting at his residence in Delhi on Monday.
The meeting was attended by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval and and chief of other Armed Forces were present during the meeting.
The meeting comes a day after PM Modi categorically stated that befitting reply will be given to Pakistan’s actions.
“Wahan se goli chalegi, toh yahan se gola,” PM Modi had said earlier.
Additionally, following the days of heavy artillery fire and shelling, peace has returned to Indian borders in Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian Army said in a statement on Monday.
While addressing a press briefing on Sunday, Indian Army said around 30-40 Pakistani personnel were killed at LoC during last few days.
